The D.R.E.A.M Partnership has developed an RFP to create high-quality, inclusive model, postsecondary education (PSE) programs for students with intellectual disabilities at two or four year colleges or universities in Pennsylvania. We believe the start-up funding and research assistance will help overcome the current barriers for such programs in Central PA. The desired outcomes of the PSE program include academic enrichment, enhanced socialization, increased independent living skills, and the attainment of competitive employment.
In addition, Information on becoming a Comprehensive Transition Program (CTP) to enable students with intellectual disabilities to access federal financial aid programs can be found on Think College’s site for becoming a CTP. There are many tools to guide you through the process.
Finally, the D.R.E.A.M. Partnership leadership team and committees are willing to serve as a resource to help you explore options for developing a PSE on your campus. For more information contact Sherri Landis, Executive Director, by email, or call 717.737.3477.
